For data collection, we have determined that the most cost-effective option is to use a small boat-like vessel that is equipped with the necessary technology to transport the robot to collect the algae samples. This boat will ensure that the robot will not get lost and will be able to send data on a constant basis. Once the sample is collected, the boat will transport it to the laboratory for further analysis and study of the algae species.

Sampling system
We designed a Collector Device that connects several key sensors for data collection. We used the uBlox Neo-6M to obtain real-time GPS location, the DS18B20 to measure temperature, and the ESP32 to manage communication and data sending. In addition, the design allows for future integration of a LoRa system to expand coverage and improve data transmission in remote areas. This modular approach ensures system scalability as the project evolves.

How to collect samples
For sample collection, we have designed a boat equipped with a small robot with a specially designed capsule. This capsule uses electromagnets to simulate a claw, allowing the algae samples to be collected efficiently. Once the sample is obtained, it will be analyzed directly in the boat. In addition, we have developed a 3D prototype of this system to ensure its functionality and optimize its design.
